The “Riot” painting is a depiction of New Orleans and its diverse social strata, set apart by their standards of living and yet still existing right next to each other. Darek Zabrocki's work makes it hard to discern a clear boundary between them, however, as the play of light and placement of shadows build up a smooth, imperceptible gradient ranging from the wealthy to the poor. This painting opened the artist's way to working on “Assassin's Creed: Syndicate” video game.
